Eternity Rings

An eternity ring, also known as an infinity ring or an anniversary ring was traditionally a continuous line of diamonds or coloured stones that went right around the finger to symbolise never-ending love. From mid twentieth century the eternal ring of diamonds was diluted with the introduction of the half-eternity ring as a cost option or as a way to get all the 'bling' on show by setting all of the diamonds in the top of the ring. Originally worn on the right hand as a statement piece, they have in the last century been worn between engagement ring and wedding ring. Interestingly in these gender relaxed days this is one ring type that has yet to find its way onto the male hand. An eternity ring is the perfect gift to mark and celebrate an anniversary or the birth of a child.

Eternity rings or infinity rings as they are sometimes known were created to symbolise the never-ending love between one person and another. This is reflected in the diamonds or coloured stones that are set into the ring all the way around its circumference. In the latter part of the 20th Century the design of eternity rings was amended slightly to include a half-eternity ring which include the precious stones on the top half of the ring only. Here at ComparetheDiamond.com we offer both full and half eternity rings for you to gift to the loved one of your choice perhaps as an anniversary gift or birthday present or even as a gift after the birth of a child. Eternity rings have also become popular items for parents to gift to their children upon their 18th or 21st birthday.
