The most stylish of brides are continuing to wear dresses by well-known designers. Vera Wang and Louise Shelby are among the most popular designers for wedding fashions, while Chanel. Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin continue to popular when it comes to elegant, designer footwear.

Sweetheart and Sabrina necklines are one of the most popular wedding fashions. The sweetheart neckline is a strapless design and will give a flattering shape to any figure. This type of neckline can give length to the neck and make the wearer look both taller and slimmer, and adds extra elegance to a bride’s special day.

The Sabrina neckline – also known as the bateau neckline or boat neck line – gives shape to the slimmer figure and is perfect for any bride wanting a hint of Hollywood glamour for their wedding day.

Showier dresses also appear to still be in trend. Dresses with a full skirt are guaranteed to make any woman feel like a princess and A- line dresses and mermaid dresses are also firm favourites. Some women are opting for fuller, dressier sleeves to make a statement while other wedding trends include delicate capped or lace sleeves.


Wedding Fashions and Celebrity Style

Celebrities are still setting the trends and brides are still turning to stars when it comes to finding inspiration for their big day. One shoulder dresses, as often favoured by celebrities on the red carpet are still among the favourites for adding style to any wedding day.

2013 was the year of The Great Gatsby and some brides will no doubt be looking towards one of the films leading actresses to find ideas for wedding fashions, and for adding some celebrity style to their special day. The film shows plenty of 1920s glamour and Carey Mulligan is seen wearing dresses with a drop waist. A drop waist wedding dress is a popular choice and flatters the torso area by making it appear longer.

When Halle Belly wed earlier in 2013, she chose a dress by UK designer Jenny Packham and opted for a dress with a low cut neckline and an empire line. Little House on the Prairie star Melissa Gilbert decided to add a little colour to her wedding and chose red for when she walked down the aisle, and Keira Knightly wore a shoulderless Chanel dress. Jennifer Anniston and Angelina Jolie are also set to marry, however, their dress designs have yet to be revealed.


Wedding Fashions and Accessories

High heeled white shoes with open or closed toes are still popular and favourite designers include Rainbow Club, Rachel Simpson and Paradox. Another popular trend is to add some glitz to the shoes by using gems and diamantes.
